9,000 Teamsters Welcome You to Your CU Family!
The Credit Union Difference: You're the Boss!
Operated by Teamsters, for Teamsters
9,000 Teamsters Welcome You to Your CU Family!
Congratulations on joining the International Brotherhood of Teamsters! When you became a member in good standing of a local affiliated with Teamsters Joint Council #37, you also became eligible to join our Credit Union. Just about everyone related to you, by blood or by marriage, is also eligible to join.

Those specifically eligible to join as a "primary member" include working or retired members of a local affiliated with Teamsters Joint Council #37, and employees of those locals or the council. Most relatives by blood or marriage of a primary member are also eligible to join. Some restrictions and exceptions apply. Contact the Credit Union if you need clarification.

Once you join, you're a member for life -- even if you move or change employment -- or until you decide to close your membership account.

The Credit Union Difference: You're the Boss!
Our motto -- "Teamsters helping Teamsters and their families!" is literally true. Every member is a part owner of the Credit Union -- and are Teamsters like you. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we pool the resources of our members to provide superior "buying power" in the financial marketplace.

At its simplest, this means that the pooled savings of our Teamster members are used to make loans to other Teamster members who need them. The interest we charge on loans generates the dividends we pay on savings accounts. Since our inception in 1961, we've made more than 125,000 loans to Teamsters, totaling more than $320 million. At present, almost 9,000 members trust us with $48 million in combined savings.

Because our members are the owners, we don't divide earnings with an outside group of stockholders as a bank does. The result is that we charge less for loans and pay more on savings. We also offer a variety of financial services -- such as checking accounts and credit cards -- at little or no cost. Without exception, your Credit Union is a great alternative to rapidly escalating bank fees.

Just as important, your Credit Union provides a great alternative to the deteriorating personal service you find at other financial institutions. Our Teamster members are the owners, so we have no one else to make happy and it shows in everything we do. You can be sure of a straight answer and professional, unbiased advice at your Credit Union. Knowing that your financial institution really is on your side takes the stress out of making financial decisions. That's not only a refreshing change, it's peace of mind!

Operated by Teamsters, for Teamsters
At the head of the Credit Union is the Board of Directors. Every Director on the Board is also a member of the Credit Union and, of course, a Teamster. Our Directors are not paid. Each is a volunteer elected by his or her fellow Teamster members. Your vote for those who serve on the Board demonstrates yet another way that your Credit Union is different from banks and other "for profit" financial institutions.

Operating the Credit Union on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of the Board is a staff of financial professionals, including experienced managers and our friendly staff. Every decision reached by the Board, the management, and staff is based on what is best for our members.
